No channels show up in the ULx Create Channel VI

The ULx Create Channel VI shows no channels even though InstaCal shows my devices. I've verified that LabVIEW and InstaCal were not run at the same time - what can I do?

The number one offence is running InstaCal when LabVIEW is running. LabVIEW reads InstaCal's configuration file when it starts up not when a Measurement Computing VI is first used. When in doubt, close InstaCal and restart LabVIEW.

Once in a while the ULx for LabVIEW installer misfires. Some customers have reported that reinstalling ULx fixed the issue. However, it's best to remove the old one first then install it. If you have more than one copy of LabVIEW, the installation program will list them. In this case, target only the version you’re using, making sure the other selections are deactivated.
If you're still experiencing the problem, it could be that the computer has more than one copy of our DLLs and configuration file. If the wrong configuration file is searched by LabVIEW it could list channels from a device that no longer exists or no channels at all. For this case, search your hard drive (start with the root C:\) for the following files: cb.cfg, cbw32.dll & cbw64.dll. There should be only one copy of each and they will be in the following directories:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Measurement Computing\DAQ\cbw32.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Measurement Computing\DAQ\cbw64.dll
C:\ProgramData\Measurement Computing\DAQ\cb.cfg

Note the last one is ProgramData not Program Files...

Delete any duplicates you find elsewhere.
