One cause of the Error Message: TracerDAQ has stopped working


If you see an error message similar to the one in the image below, indicating that your TracerDAQ or TracerDAQ PRO has stopped working, the cause may be a mismatch between your versions of InstaCal and TracerDAQ.  A recent case is when TracerDAQ is ver 2.3.0 and InstaCal is 6.33, as this combination will cause this error to occur when you configure your hardware settings in the TracerDAQ stripchart aspplication.  The fix in this case is to update TracerDAQ (or the PRO version) to 2.3.1, as this is the version that was released in conjunction with InstaCal 6.33.
