TracerDAQ showing "new item" on the task bar

In Windows XP, right mouse click on the new TracerDAQ item, and select 'Maximize'.  This will show you the Strip Chart form on your entire screen.  Now just go to the top right corner of your screen.  There are 3 squares, from left to right.

Click on the middle one to restore normal performance of the Strip Chart screen.

In Windows 7 and newer, hover your mouse on the overlapped items in the task tray for TracerDAQ or TracerDAQ Pro:

Right mouse click on the right miniature Strip Chart view and select Maximize:

Now just go to the top right corner of your screen.  There are 3 squares, from left to right

Click on the middle one to restore normal performance of the Strip Chart screen.

This strange behavior occurs when the computer is shut down abnormally.  For example, power interrupted, computer locked up and forced power off, or closing a Windows session without first closing down your TracerDAQ or TracerDAQ Pro session.  But as you can see it is easily restored to normal working order.
