Question: How do I allow all normal users of my WinXP machine to use my IOtech product without having to give away an administrative account password?
Answer: As an administrator, you need to use 'regedit' to apply permissions to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Daqx
Then grant the following permissions with the resulting dialog:
The example above grants these permissions to a group of users. Full accessto the software installation folder should also be granted using WindowsExplorer.
