Why do my outputs flicker?

Problem:

I am driving a mechanical relay with an optical AC module mounted on a DBK208 from a DaqBook 2001. The outputs on the DBK208 flicker in sync with the Ethernet lights and the various DASYLab displays that I am using. It appear that after every block of Data the output momentary reset off. This causes the relays to chatter. How to I get it to lock on and stay on until I drop the input signal to the digital module in DASYLab?

Solution:

The work around to this issue is to use at least one analog input channel so that the acquisition device remains open. Without the analog input channel the device will open write to the DBK208 output then close which causes the output to reset.
